General Information

The 2343 F3 instruction sheet had several printings over a three-year period. This instruction sheet was included with the three F3 diesel listed in the chart at the left. Early printings had the Lionel stock number 2343 and 2344 printed within the title on the first page. Later versions eliminated these numbers and used a more generic title. An instruction sheet with the part numbers 2344 or 2345 do not exist.

Usually, the first printing of an instruction sheet is the hardest to locate. For the 2343, the opposite is true as the final printing (dated 1/53) is the rarest. The 1/53 variation had a very limited exposure to the trains as it was soon replaced in March 1953 with the 2353 instruction sheet.
