397 Coal Loader ~ ~

General Information

The 397 Coal Loader had a lengthy 10-year production run -- longer than any other coal-related postwar accessory.

The rarest and most desirable instruction sheet is the first production run dated 12/48. This instruction sheet has the #70 Yard Light illustrated on the base of the coal loader. As collectors know, the first production run of coal loaders included this yard light -- only to quickly be removed from future production runs.

All remaining instruction sheets are hard to find in collectable condition. As mentioned above, the 12/48 sheet is the rarest with the final 12/55 version being the next most difficult to locate.
